Farmed renewable plantations of Eucalyptus and Cotton that produce oxygen atoms necessary for ozone protection.
The choice of a cotton and eucalyptus blend of fabric offers significant environmental advantages over those using cotton alone.
Renewable farmed plantations of eucalyptus require up to 20 times less water to manufacture than cotton alone. And the unique properties of eucalyptus fibres ensure a naturally hygienic environment that discourages the opportunity for bacteria growth without the use of harsh chemicals.
Our fillings are combinations of cotton or wool mixed with eucalyptus which also has wonderful moisture absorption qualities unmatched by cotton.
Additionally, we use the sumptuous qualities of goose and duck downs and feathers and our pillows are all based on down and / or latex rubber. Equally, our sew in (care) labels are polyester free, as is the cotton interlock stretch fabric we use to secure our mattress protectors and toppers to the bed.
We created the most environmentally responsible packaging currently available.
Our premium range is packaged in a printed cardboard box whilst our standard range uses a combination of non-woven eucalyptus with a biodegradable polypropylene. We will continue to pursue the latest manufacturing technologies to offer the most ozone friendly products available to our Australian and international customers.
We felt it important to give back to the environment with proceeds from sales in a way that strengthens our commitment to sustainability.
We are taking a holistic approach here at One Manchester that permeates all of our decision making processes. We have committed to being polyester free, and are working towards being fossil fuel free. Every product sold will result in an Australian native being planted for future generations.
